I'm nervous attending 'cause I'm sure there will be lots of Zumba fanatics there, but hey, gotta go and represent the big girls! I only say that 'cause recently at the rec center there are new people trying out the class. I'm sure their first instinct when they see me standing at the front, with my sister and my mom (and yes I admit, we are not small girls) they are thinking, "wow, if those big girls are in this class, it should be a piece of cake". Now keep in mind, I'm not as fit as I'd like to be, but I've been attending this class for almost a year now. I'm familiar with the routines, I know which ones are kick butt and ones that are slower in tempo - so basically I know how to pace myself. I always laugh 'cause they come in with the attitude like, "okay, we're here"...and then mid way through the class I will glance in the mirror and look back, they are barely moving and even in some cases, they have left the class. Like I always tell everyone, do not under estimate the class and think it is an "easy" class - it isn't, but it's a lot of fun. And if the moves are too difficult, the most important thing is to keep moving and don't give up. Over time you will learn the names of the dances and it will be easier to follow - not keep up 'cause even to this day I try to "keep up". But if you are interested in this Master Class, definitely check it out. I will be there (granted I am back from Tonga).
