Babysitter

Like I mentioned before, there is never a dull moment in our household. Yesterday I had a meeting at 7 pm, Haloti was at work and well, I figure, I have grown kids, they can stay home by themselves. Soni is 13, Nohe'a 12, Ailini 8 and the twins 7. Before leaving the house, I tell Soni, "okay you are in charge along with Gideon, text me if any problems".

I am sitting at my meeting and then notice I get a text from Soni, the text went like this:

The twins were climbing on the table and they tried 2 steal ur treats and they r being noisy

I texted back:

tell them 2 behave or they are going to b in timeout when i get home

A few minutes later I receive another text from Soni:

Gideon just broke the light thing and now his foot is bleeding but not badly

I responded with:

what light thing?

Soni replied:

The thing that covers the light bulb in the kitchen

I asked:

how did he break it?

Soni's text:

he was poking it

Kids I swear...they get bored and decide to do dumb things. I mean, why would you want to poke the light fixture? Still trying to figure that one out. In the meantime, I left the meeting briefly to call and see if they are okay. Luckily they cleaned up the mess and Gideon was okay.

I think this is my punishment for my babysitting years...LOL. That's another blog in itself. Let's just say one of the times I babysat, my little sister Silia ended up with stitches on her forehead.
