Getting back on track...

I seem to post the positive only with the whole weight loss ordeal, but yesterday I was in for a reality check. Got on the scale at the rec and it showed I gained 2 lbs. Not too bad, but if I keep eating like this past weekend, it's all gonna come back. You would think after getting on the scale, that would be motivation to come home and be good. Well...that didn't happen. I was starving.

Around 10:30 or so, warmed up some barbecue chicken, not one piece, but like 2 and a half pieces and ate that with mac salad. Saturday went out the door with Olive Garden. Then with the leftovers ate it Sunday morning for breakfast. Then Sunday afternoon we barbecued and yeah, went a little overboard. Yesterday I brought the leftovers in for lunch and then of course, my late night meal.

It was worth it 'cause the food was so good, but today I am back on track. Loaded up on the fruits and going to eat a light lunch and no late night dinner today. As much as I have good days, I do have days like this every now and then. Main key -- don't get easily sidetracked.

Maopa,

It took awhile to get use to not eating after 6 pm. I shouldn't say I don't eat at all - 'cuz I do, but it's something really light. My last big meal is usually lunch. Then after lunch, I'll snack here and there. Due to working out so late, it's been pretty easy to not eat late. I do have to talk myself into not thinking I am hungry. I tell myself -- how you gonna go work your butt off and then turn around and ruin it by eating all the calories just burned -- you know what I mean? And then if there is something I really want to eat, I'll save it for my breakfast or lunch the next morning. I think I read somewhere that if you eat most of your calories in the morning, the body can burn it faster than later in the day. I guess it has to do with your metabolism slowing down. I hope that helps! Sorry for the novel!
