Workout/Eating tip

Yesterday while I was working out and on the crossramp, I caught part of the Today (or one of the morning shows) show which featured Jillian (trainer from The Biggest Loser). Something new I learned? Weight training -- what's so great about it? Women think by doing cardio, you burn more calories. But really, if you weight train, you are still burning calories after you are done. That was news to me and motivation to keep up with my weight training.

Someone also asked the question "which is better, artificial sweetners or sugar?". Her reply -- something natural is always going to be better than artificial. For me, another confirmation that food in it's natural state will always be better for the body. I'm a strong believer of that. Like I mentioned before, I try and avoid processed foods -- key word "try". Not sure if I can do completely without, but for the most part, I eat a lot of fruits and some veggies. It definitely helps!!!!

So there you go -- something new I learned.

I am actually gonna go buy her DVD. I love Jillian, she's tough, but she definitely knows what she's doing. I'm on the Bob Greene Best Life Diet...and I love it, everyone should buy his books, they are really really educational :)
