September 11, 2001 -- What do I remember about this day? Let's see, I was pregnant expecting twin boys. The day was somewhat of a blur. I remember driving into work listening to the radio and hearing something about the World Trade Center. Didn't really pay attention. When I got to work, there was a tv turned on to the news and the images of the plane crashing into the World Trade Center were shown over and over. It left everyone speechless and in disbelief. My uncle Manu from Tonga was here in the U.S. and I know the scenes shown made him nervous to fly My first cousin Meliame was preparing to go out on her mission to Chicago. That was 8 years ago. My heart goes out to those who have lost loved ones in that tragedy. I am grateful to be a citizen of the U.S. and to live here. I am indeed grateful for those who serve the country and allow us these freedoms.
Today after work I came across the 'Field for Healing' located by the Southtowne Mall. It was quite the sight to see all these flags lined up. I took the following pics with my camera phone -- so, sorry for the quality.
