I admit, I'm not much of a saver. I'm a spender. However, over the years, I've gotten better and learned how to get more for my dollar. Something that we've do for our kids that I want to share -- we set aside a savings for each of them.
We started a little late with our older two, but was able to do this for our younger three when they were born. We got the idea from a couple we met in San Antonio, TX. The money we have set aside is to pay for our boys mission. We both get paid bi-weekly and each week, we have a small amount taken out of our check and directly deposited into their savings we set up.
We have $30 for each kid going into their account. Not much, but over time it adds up. $30 X 26 = $780 a year X 19 = $14,820 saved up and hopefully enough to pay their entire mission.
Just thought I'd share this -- I'm sure you can do the same for your kids (and for yourselves) whether it's for a mission, school, wedding, or whatever!

Very cool! We really need to start this for our girls. We may have four missions and four weddings or four weddings. Either way...TOO EXPENSIVE! LOL
That's awesome... We have the same savings for Toa and then when he receives money from Aunties.. (hint hint Kuuipo) or for gifts we just put that in his savings.. It's nice to have the thought of him having money set aside for college etc... I love your top picture.. Phew, you're the bomb for setting aside for all the kids... :)
