Giving Blood

Today the American Red Cross came to our work to take blood donations. My sister signed up and on her way to donate stopped by and asked if I wanted to donate. I said, "sure why not". It's been forever since I've donated blood. The last time I did, I think I passed out -- sometime around high school. And then the time before got rejected because I was sick.

To be honest, I was a little nervous. More nervous about getting rejected and passing out. They took a sample of my blood and my iron level was good. So I was all set. I donated a pint of blood with my little sis Silia. Afterwards we got free snacks, drink and a t-shirt!!! 'Tis the season to give!
