Finally Friday and so ready for the weekend!
You know, I always say I learn my lesson, but obviously never do. The latest I eat a heavy meal is 1 pm on a day I know I'll be working out. I've found in the past that if I eat as late as an hour before a workout, I don't have a good workout. I can tell the food is not fully digested.
Well after getting off work around 6:00 pm, stopped by my mom's to pick up my kids. Of course they had food at their house. I thought I would just take a bite or two. I forgot to mention I had a heavy lunch - kapisi pulu masima and manioke (corned beef with cabbage and a side of yucca). The heavy lunch and the few bites at my mom's equaled heartburn during my Zumba class. I felt so uncomfortable, but I managed to finish the class. Note to self for future -- maybe save the kapisi pulu masima for the weekend after a workout/or have it on a no workout day.
I am pleased to add that the decluttering continued last night. Got the bottom cabinets in the kitchen cleaned out and organized. Ended with 2 trash bags full of items to throw out (lids, old tupperware, and items that are broken).
Tonight's plan? To tackle my big linen closet and my storage area downstairs.

This post really HELPED me! I've been told not to eat two hours before a workout, but I too find myself with a stomach ache through zumba! I don't know about 1PM though...that's a loooong time for me w/out food...hahaha! Maybe 3pm for a 7:30 zumba class?? Thanks for mentioning the Kapisi pulu masima and manioke...now I'm HUNGRY! LOL!
