I hate playing catch up and for some reason, I never quite catch up. Since the trip to Tonga, I've been trying to get back in the work out mode. Step up my game and prepare myself for this whole Zumba instructor thing.
My first Zumba class after the trip...I was so off. For some reason just couldn't get the footwork to go and it probably didn't help that I was feeling somewhat sick. The second class was somewhat better. By my third class this past Tuesday, I was feeling good and was starting to feel normal again.
Last night I taught my second class. I know...a little slow in the 'getting out there and teaching' side, but oh well. Going to go at my pace and do the best I can. I had a few ladies from the rec ask if I was teaching and I explained yes and no. By that I meant, I was teaching at the single adult ward, but they would like to keep it to just ward members only. I was a little bummed, but hey, I need the teaching experience, so what else could I do?
This morning as I was driving into work, I got this crazy idea -- since it's summer, why don't I just hold class or classes outside in my backyard? We have a huge cement slab and it's early enough that I doubt my neighbors would mind. Heck, they might even want to join. Anyhow, it's just an idea. Each time I teach, I'm beginning to feel somewhat comfortable. I hope within the next few weeks I will feel more confident. I really need to get out there and make some money off of this. Seriously!
