It's Just One of Them Days
Again, I've been slacking on the blogging thing. So much I want and need to do with this blog. First off, the background, the playlist and the pictures. But again, that will be put on hold.
The title of this post? And the video? That describes my day this past Saturday. It was a crazy day - by that, lots of things going on and I was on a tight schedule. The morning began with my oldest getting up early to go and do baptisms. Not a problem, I had ironed and got his clothes ready the night before. The YM leader was picking him up. No worries there. One thing I am grateful for is how responsible my boys are when they commit to something. By that I mean, he got up on his own around 4 am to get ready. I didn't have to worry about him. Haloti worked, so that meant I had no help.
Nohe'a needed to work on a school project and needed to use the internet - that meant I had to drop him off at my brothers before heading out to Zumba and the boys football game. The plan was to leave the house by 9:15 am or even earlier. The plan was to pick up something for all of them to eat. Well, 9:15 came and we are about ready to leave and Soni gets home from baptisms. I decide to wait. We waited - it seemed like FOREVER! He finally comes out and just as we are about ready to pull out, one of the twins tell me that he forgot his helmet. That required us to wait some more.
After the twin runs in and grabs his helmet, we are off to my brothers' house. I drop off Soni and Nohe'a and told them to just eat over at Brian's house 'cause we are running late. I had to make a quick stop at the gas station because we would need gas to get where we needed to get and I was riding on 'E'. As I'm pumping the gas, I tell the three to get out and go look for something to eat at Maverik. I walk in and what do they have in their hands? Chips, candy and junk. I had to tell them to put it back and grab their baked goods. I know, not that healthy, but better than chips, candy and junk.
We finally make it to my sisters house where I dropped off the twins so my brother in law can take them to the game since they had to be there an hour early. By this time it's probably 20 to 10:00 am. The Zumba master class my sister and I were catching started at 10 and I was not familiar with it's location.
We drove out to what I thought was the location. By the time we arrived at the so called location - it was 10 am...or maybe even later. Called the gym and got the directions. We finally arrived at the gym at a quarter after 10. They used only half of the gym and it was packed! We settled for the back.
Zumba with Lindsey Taylor and the Zumba twins (Kat & Ani) was so much fun! Amazing!!! Loved their moves and the music! Worth it!!! Thank goodness class was an hour and half. We took a few pictures with them to post to our Zumba albums. I know we're such geeks, but oh well.
Class finished at 11:30, we hung out for a little bit and then my sister went home. Ailini and I finally were on our way to the game. We're driving along and guess what? We got pulled over. Yup, expired tags (which we have the paperwork for, just haven't made it to the DMV). That took forever! I wanted to tell him, "just give me the ticket already so I can go".
He finally gave me my ticket. By this time, it was 10 after 12. The twins game began at 12. We arrived at the field and like all fields, it was packed and parking was hard to find. Finally found a parking space and got to watch the game. Talk about intense! It was a great game and happy to say they won and are still undefeated!
Things turned around after that. But just when you try and plan everything out to a precise time -- something always seems to go wrong!

that's frustrating... but keep on planning it will eventually work and you are teaching your kids something important.
