Hot Hula

December 10, 2010 - Ms. Anna-Rita Sloss was in town teaching a Hot Hula Master class at the Northwest Recreation Center in Salt Lake City. They had a master class last month, but I was not able to make it do to a funeral. Hearing that Anna-Rita would be here herself, I could not pass up the opportunity. I came across Hot Hula earlier this year on YouTube. Very excited when I found out it was Anna-Rita -- saw her in the Turbo Jam home workout videos. Just proud knowing she is polynesian. I know, such a nerd, but I get like that. Just proud of polynesians out there doing big things.

Anyhow, my little sis Silia came along. I brought my daughter along too. Ms. Anna-Rita is one of the coolest people you will meet. Very down to earth, funny and her New Zealand accent - loved it!

We began with a warm-up and can I just say I was sweating like crazy. Kinda embarrassing because it was just a warm-up. But when I saw Anna-rita sweat, I thought, okay, if it's sweating then it's okay that I do too. Hahahahaha!

Had a good time with my sister and daughter. Glad I was able to finally catch a Hot Hula class! As for certifying? I really wanted to, but I've got a few things I need to work on and take care of before venturing off into another hobby. Here's a few pictures from that night:
