Texas High School Football

Nothing like it. Seriously!

Okay, so I only have Utah High School football to compare to -- but really, the state of Texas does not mess around when it comes to high school football. The movie "Friday Night Lights" pretty much portrays the way it is out there. The live, breathe and die football.

Last weekend, we made a quick trip out to Texas to watch the State Playoff game held in Arlington, TX at the Cowboy stadium. The stadium - unbelievable. Nice. Very Nice. You are talking about leather seats and the screen -- huge! Not only huge, but so clear! Prices on the food though - a little outrageous. You are looking at $9 for a chicken tender/fries meal. And somewhere around $5-$6 for a 32 oz drink (or maybe smaller). But overall -- that place is nice!

State Championship -- Pearland Oilers (Houston) vs. Trinity Trojans (Euless)

We sat on the third tier, 40 yard line.

Tickets $12 a piece.

Our view of the game. The screen - unbelievable!

Trinity doing the HAKA.

Coin Toss.

Unfortunately -- Pearland Oilers won the game!

**This clip -- the trick play Pearland used against Trinity. Good one!!! They got Trinity good with this play.**

Early Monday morning -- waiting for the flight back home! Such troopers these two!
