Week Update...

I apologize for missing a few days. It's been a little hectic. What's new aye? Monday night we (Haloti, Soni, Nohe'a, Brydan and I) went to Sushi Monster. It is my favorite place -- for now. We got there early enough to get a seat. Only problem, they only had 2 sushi chefs, so there was quite a wait with all the customers. I ordered some kind of soft shell crab appetizer. It was ok. I doubt I would order it again. All of us ordered the 3 for $13 sushi special. And then I ordered a Monster specialty roll (pink dragon). Let's just say, we had a lot of rolls between all of us. I was stuffed. Well, sort of because we ordered the fried ice cream and split it (my boys and I). It's one of my new favorite restaurants by Valley Fair Mall. Here's a few pictures of the rolls we ordered:

Tuesday evening I was planning on Zumba at the West Valley rec center until I found out my daughter had a piano recital at 6:30 pm - which would be in the middle of Zumba. Instead, I chose to go to the recital. Only problem, we had lots of problems at work. With all the new changes and what not, it's been a little crazy. I left work around 6:25 and rushed over to her recital. I walked in just as she was about to announce her two pieces. My niece Milei was part of the recital too. She just began lessons with the same teacher. Proud of both of them.

Wednesday began with the usual early morning Zumba class. A great bunch of women. Grateful for their support and dedication. After class, it was a rush home to get the kids off the school. I too had to rush and get ready so I can get into to work earlier than normal since we no longer had a graveyard shift person working. Got the kids off to school and headed in to work. Work was hectic and chaotic. In fact, I was busy the entire time. I was trying my hardest to get everything done and completed by 3:30 pm so I can head over to teach my Zumba class at Rhodes. Well, I didn't leave work until 3:45 pm. I rushed over there and arrived at 4:00. Hurried and changed into my workout clothes there at their building. One of the ladies there showed me the new system they purchased for our class. Well, I'm not sure if they bought just for our class, but I'll pretend they did. Lol. Class was great and the women there are lots of fun. After Zumba, I rushed over to my mom's to pick up my daughter and nieces for their Tahitian practice. On my way over, I received a phone call from my mom. Not surprising. She wanted to make sure I was taking the girls. I picked them up and off to practice we went. I was told by my mom that my niece Madison wanted her to take her. She asked my sister Lani why and Lani told her, "because Madison says Sinai yells at them". Funny little girl. I don't yell at them. I just don't put up with messing around and not listening. Hahahaha. After practice, I was starving. I wanted to go to Leatherby's, but the weather was not the business. The winds were strong and it began to snow. Instead we ended up at Moki's. Being around all these little girls was interesting. They have so much energy and certain ones like to pick on each other.

Thursday - to be quite honest, I woke up not really wanting to teach Zumba. I think I was just a little too tired. I was hoping that it snowed so I can have an excuse to not go. It didn't. So off to Zumba I went. Class was interesting. Into our third song, the power went out. We sat in the dark for a little bit. I could hear my mom saying, "we should just go home". I tried to ignore her. Funny thing, just as we were about to leave, the power came back on. During the middle of class I noticed an older gentleman peek in. Shortly after, he was in the back working out. I thought to myself, "ok, this is cool". We finished the workout and afterwards he came over to discuss doing something with Zumba. I wasn't sure how legit our conversation was because when we came out, I noticed he didn't have a car. Now I know that doesn't mean anything, but nowadays, you never know. I was told that the church building we use - they've found homeless people sleeping inside etc. So like I said, you just never know. We'll see if he comes back next week. Work was a lot better. Still lots to do, but much better than the previous days. The evening ended with me feeling tired by 8pm, but I kept busy and went to bed around 11 pm. Of course after reviewing my playlist for this mornings class.

Today began with me rushing to Zumba. Again procrastinated and waited until the last minute to get ready. I arrived 10 minutes before class began. Becky (who hired me) was there to help me with the mic. First of all, it's nerve racking having her there and then introduce a mic. Oh boy. We got the mic to work and I began class. My sis Silia got there, so that gave me comfort. I still have some getting use to. When I tried to jump, the mouthpiece moved. In fact, I fidgeted with it the entire time. But we made the best of it and had lots of fun!

Well, there you go, a rundown of my week. I hope to get back into the swing of things next week and continue with the Wednesday workout tips. Have a fabulous weekend!!!
