is good ~ Lucky Dube.
I have this song playing right now ~ random shuffle on the iPod. Figure I'll take a moment and reflect on life - my life that is.
The past few months, changes have happened. Some of the changes a little hard to come by, but I am adapting. Since last summer, Haloti has taken over the bills & all of that at home. Why? Because I wasn't paying them on time. I was using the money to spend on other things - which according to him - wasn't necessary. Him taking over the bills meant - no money for me. That was a little hard to adjust to because you know, every now and then you see something on sale and want to buy it or you want to eat out...but with no money, it meant none of that. I seriously had a hard time adjusting. It wasn't until I started getting paid for teaching Zumba that I fell okay about the change. Although I now have money to spend on whatever, whenever, I realize I do need to learn to budget that money wisely. I'm hoping to get that down soon. If not, I'm afraid that money will be taken away too. Lol. Ok, maybe I won't be laughing if that happens.
Like I mentioned, with Haloti taking over the bills, it meant a few cuts around the home. One of the first things to go was our internet, cable & home phone (because we both & our two oldest have cell phones). I tried to tell him that we needed the internet. He felt we didn't really need and I was just saying that because "I was the one who could not stay away from Facebook". Okay, well maybe that was true to a certain extent, but my kids really did need it. They need it for school assignments & other things such as scouts, etc. For awhile, they were going to the library or over to a family members house to use the internet. That worked for awhile until he was the one who had to take them. Guess what? Our internet will be back on next week. Funny how that all works out. Maybe with it back on, I'll be able to update my blog on a daily basis again. We'll see.
Recently I went back through some old pictures. Like I tell everyone, pictures are my motivation to stay on track and keep the weight off. I posted not too long ago about the 20 lb went gain since I lost 80 lbs. Update on that - I thought I was doing good - but the scale is telling me, only 2 lbs lost. Hoi...getting a little frustrated. What's more frustrating? Looking at the pictures from 2 years ago when I was at the 80 lb weight loss. I can tell where the 20 lbs went. Geez Louise. I'm still determined. Hopefully in a few weeks or so I'll be able to report and say I've lost some weight. I think I've been saying that for awhile now, huh?
Have a good weekend everyone!
