A few weeks ago while shopping at Walmart with my twins, I saw the joy in their eyes when I told "yes" I will buy you the Iron Man, Star Wars and Marvel Heroes t-shirts and "yes" you can wear them to school. I feel bad I didn't do this with my older three...but oh well. You live and you learn, right?
Here's a picture of Brydan with his Iron Man shirt and the cupcake he decorated. If you didn't figure out the design of his cupcake - it's the American flag.

LOL to you not letting them wear them.. I think its more of a your going to match the world if you wear it, type of situation.. LOL that the way I see it. Great post Sinai and your right Live and Learn..
Loyann,
I think I didn't let them wear it for stupid reasons like, "No, wear your GAP shirt instead or the POLO one". It was about looking a certain way. Of course, what kid is going to want to wear a boring shirt with just words or a logo? They want the stuff with the actual cartoon. For me it was - "yeah, we got name brand clothes on". But now as I get older and hopefully smarter, realize that as long as they are clean and well groomed, the label of their clothing shouldn't matter. But don't get me wrong, I still like the name brand stuff, but unlike years ago when I had just one kid and it was easy to pay full price for one, that's why we had that kind of stuff. But now with 5, try bargain shop and if it looks cute regardless of the brand, that's what matters. Funny it took me all these years to figure that one out, huh?
