Attitude

Last Friday we had a ward dance for the RS birthday. When we arrived, it seemed like everyone was not in the mood to dance. It probably didn't help that one dj played taolunga songs. As we were dancing I was talking to my first cousin telling her that everyone seemed 'bored'. She made a good point by saying, it's like our Thursday Zumba class -- you make it what it is. If you are bored, it's because you make yourself bored. We were making the best of the dance and we enjoyed ourselves. Not sure about everybody else. I figured since we were there whereas I could be sleeping for work, I was going to enjoy myself.

Every now and then when I get mad at Haloti, I sometimes blurt out to him, "you make me so mad" and then to irritate me even more he tells me, "I don't make you mad, you make yourself mad". As much as I hate to admit it, but he is right. Whatever situation we are in, we decide how we are going to handle it. We have control over our attitude -- no one else.
