Great messages shared by the General YW Presidency as well as President Monson. To view the broadcast, go here.
All of the talks were great, but I especially loved Sister Dalton's talk. She gave the Young Women a tip given to her by one of her sons. Her son told her that before his mission, he mainly went out with someone for looks. After his mission, that changed. Sister Dalton told the Young Women "a virtuous young man wants to marry a virtuous young woman".
I hope that the young women that attended will take that to heart. The world portrays a different lifestyle and I hope they can make the right choices.
During the meeting they showed a brief video clip. Remember my blog about translating for one of the General YW board members? This is what she came to our ward for. To find a young woman to participate in this video. The young woman chosen from our ward was Rosalind Lotulelei. She is a beautiful young lady with good values and standards. It was great to see her in the video. Here's a picture of her from the Pioneer Day float our stake made last year:

I spoke to Rosalind's mom today right before sacrament and expresssed how happy I was to see her in the video clip. Then with tears in her eyes she replied that whether or not they showed a clip, the experience was amazing. There were hundreds of young women and their mothers present along with the General Young Women Presidency and board members. The main focus and message they want conveyed "for the young women to look towards the temple".

Beautiful post, Sinai! Thanks for that, I'll be checking out that link also:):) Have a great evening..
The challenges the youth face today are a lot tougher than in our day.
Definitely checkout the video clip - with the new value VIRTUE added recently, there is a lot of focus on it. I think that's probably one of the biggest challenges YW face.
I love the Young Womens General Conference. The messages are so uplifting and especially during a time of world struggle, the messages given by the General Young Womens Presidency and our Prophet President Monson were very sobering and comforting. I love conference time, because for me it's like a time-out moment from the world and all it's craziness. Thanks Sinai for sharing this.
What a nice post Sinai.. It's real hard for the youth of today I know from the struggles of my own children it's not easy.. I loved the broadcast I'm getting a head start on my daughter.. LOL..
