Today is Ailini's 9th birthday. She was born May 14, 2000 on Mother's Day. She was my Mother's Day gift. Ailini is special in many ways because she is the only girl. She is also the middle child. Ailini was named after Haloti's sister Fa (first name is Ailini) and his grandma Melefa. If she can inherit one of my sister in law's traits, I would hope she has the same amount of love my sister in law does for her brothers. There are many times that I wish she wasn't the only girl. It breaks my heart to see her try and play with the boys only to get pushed away 'cause they are playing rough. However, I am grateful to be blessed with one. Besides, she has many 'sisters' on my side as well as Haloti's!

aww how sweet! Ur daughter is soo pretty!! I have an 8 turning 9 year old too. She has been the only girl for a while. But she will be having a sister this July so she's excited! I hope your daughter has a wonderful b'day!! :)

Happy Birthday Alini.. You are beautiful.. I hear ya on the only daughter thing, it took me 9 yrs to give Lil Lelu a sister.. But she use to follow all the boys around and cry because they would tell her to go inside the house. Dont worry she will be one protected girl, and every brother will have a daughter named after her.. Love it..
