Working out is not an easy thing...and finding the motivation to work out is even harder. I think once you can find something to motivate you -- you are on your way to success.

For me, I have a lot of different 'things' to motivate me. My main motivation -- my kids. I wanted to set an example for them, especially my older two boys. I wanted them to be physically active, to make good food choices. So, I had to practice what I preach.

Second motivation -- I love to travel and when you travel standby majority of the time, you take whatever seat is open. When traveling alone without my kids, there is that possibility of the middle seat...and well, I hate the feeling of taking over the next persons' seat...if you know what I mean.

I set a goal that when I lost a certain amount, I was going to treat myself. My goal was to lose 50 and when I did and maintained it, I was buying me a Tiffany bracelet. I've hit the goal and have maintained it...so now it's just a matter of purchasing it. It will be motivation to keep the weight off, 'cause if I gain, the bracelet won't fit. LOL.

Pictures -- I love looking at people's before and after pictures. In fact, when I would watch 'The Biggest Loser', my favorite part was the end of each episode. The part when they would show their progression -- from start to end. That is pure motivation for me. Motivated me enough to want my own before and after picture. It's what keeps me going. When I have a bad day, I pull out my picture from Feb. 2007 and remind myself why I want to stay on track.

And the best motivation -- find a workout that you enjoy. For me, was fortunate to find Zumba. I look forward to it and know that when I am done with the class, I have burned 600-800 calories!

Those of you out there on the same journey -- keep it up!!! And for my CS sisters -- it's all about 'LOOKIN' FINE IN 2009'.
