Last Friday rather than working out on the machines (cardio part - still worked on weights), my sister Kalo and I went on the indoor track instead. She walked while I tried to jog around the track. I can't remember how many laps I did, but I alternated running 2 walking 2. Can I just say the running...actually I mean the jogging 2 was a killer. But you know, it felt good.
Tonight rather than doing Zumba, I am gonna try jogging again. I would love to be able to jog a mile non-stop and then work my way up, especially if I have plans to run a 5K and then eventually a full marathon. Friday was a good day to attempt jogging 'cause the rec center was not full. Now tonight will be another story. Hopefully by then I will be ready to go and not chicken out 'cause there will be more people there.
Why am I jogging? Well I hear it helps slim down your stomach & legs -- supposively. So I need all the help I can get. LOL. Wish me luck!

Good luck!! I was in a jogging/walking group. And the marathon I did was the Provo Half Marathon. I told myself I would do the St. George full marathon and then I slapped myself and got back to reality...lol I don't have the endurance or will power for that. You most likely do...., but if and when you get to where you're comfortable with doing one, you should definitely try the Provo one first. Its mostly downhill and its so beautiful up in the Provo Canyon!! Go for it, you're doing great and you look great!!
Thanks everybody for the positive comments! I went last night...and well, it's still a killer, but it felt a little bit easier than last time. Thanks for the info Marcia, I will definitely keep that in mind. The scenery part is what sold me! Just loving nature right now!
