$.81...are you serious?

Was lazy to blog over the weekend, then got real busy with work. So, finally finding the time to blog and catch up. Over the weekend, Lini continued playing in her softball tournament. She played Saturday morning at 8 am -- so that meant I missed Zumba. They won that game and played again at 11 am. Lost that game and was out of the tournament.

Later in the day, took the kids to watch Harry Potter since I promised them. From the parts I did watch, the movie was pretty good. I think the sun got the best of me and I fell asleep during half of the movie. Sunday of course was a kick back day! Spent it indoors 'cause it was so hot outside.

Yesterday -- the usual with the exception of Nohea's follow up dentist appointment in the morning. Then it was off to work. Work has been busy and with our upcoming trip to Portland for Haloti's aunt's funeral/nephew's wedding haven't had much time to fit the gym in.

Now to the story about $.81. This morning before heading into work, my two older boys asked if we could stop by Game Crazy. I promised them that I would take them last night, but since I got off work late, figured I should take them before heading into work.

We stop by what we thought was Game Crazy (it's not called Game Tag or something like that) found out we needed an account set up and they only offer in-store credit. I guess Soni didn't want to do that, so we drove around the corner to Game Stop. Nohe'a and I sat in the car while he got out. Mind you, the whole time I have no idea what these two are up to.

Soni comes out of the store with a bag. I thought he bought or traded his games for new ones. He came in the car, sat down. I turned and asked him how it went (and noticed his eyes were a little teary). He told me that they would only pay him $.81 for all his games. I then said to him, "I thought you were trading your games". He then told me "no, I was trying to sell them -- Nohe'a and I are trying to buy a X-BOX 360". He said the guy would take his DS but he needed a charger. I told him, you are not trading in your DS or any games. Keep all of them.

I felt bad and worked out a deal with them. I told them that if they really work around the house -- like really work, that I would buy them their 360. I'm sure if their dad heard this, he wouldn't be for the idea. But you know, these two work hard at school and do what they should, so I figure I could give a little. Anyhow, I'll keep y'all posted on this. Oh yeah -- last night I had them clean house in order for them to go to Portland with us and guess what? They did a pretty good job. It's funny how they will really work hard if they want something.

OMG $.81 wow that is sad, but I totally think it's good to see them work hard around the house. I mean Gideon is AWESOME at cleaning house and the thing is I don't have to ask he just does it, then comes and says that would be LOL LOVE these kids, gonna miss them when they go back to school.
