Sorry I've been on MIA status for awhile. I keep meaning to blog, but then don't get around to it. It's almost been two weeks since my last blog. A lot has happened:
June 30th - July 3rd: The YW of our stake went on roughout. I was there on Monday to see them off. Then on Thursday, July 2nd, my sister and I drove up to the campsite to visit them. I tried to get there for their program at 7 pm, but due to work and running late, didn't make it there until 10:30 pm. Late, but was able to keep my promise that I would go up there to visit them.
July 4th: We had a barbecue at our place and had my brothers and sister over. We ended the evening with the kids doing fireworks.
July 7th: My birthday. Turned 35. Worked and then after work, we went to Sonasi Pouha's viewing. His daughter is a good friend of the family. The kids decorated the house and made the cutest cards for me. Haloti bought a cake and gave me one of the sweetest cards as well as cash for my birthday. He and Ailini went to the store to pick up the cake. When he asked her what to write on the cake she said "Happy Birthday Sinai". I didn't find anything odd about that, but my sister pointed out -- she could've had them put "Happy Birthday Mom". I just laughed knowing that's how my daughter is. She's so close with her dad and I'm sure if it was his cake it would say "dad" instead of "Haloti". Either way, it was a good birthday.
Along with slacking on the blogging part, I've been slacking on my workouts. For the next 3 months I will be working on a special project at work -- which sometimes requires me to work late. I usually do not work out until after work. I am not a morning person -- wish I was, but I'm not. It would work out perfect if I could just get up in the morning and work out. Well, with this new project -- I'm gonna have to make the effort if I want to keep up with the workouts. So wish me luck.
I finally made it to the gym late last night after almost a week off due to other commitments. Got on the scale and saw that I tacked on 4 lbs during my vaca from workouts. But it's all good -- the bbqs, orange creme slushes and sweets were worth it. I think I got my fix and ready to get back to work.
