Monday -- didn't make it to the gym by 5 am like I originally planned, but did make it there by 7 am. Began my workout by using weights and working out my legs (inner, outer thighs, quads, hamstrings & calves) then finished by walking for about a half hour. Eating -- I didn't have time to pack a lunch, but did manage to take some carrots and grapes. Work got too busy that I didn't have time to get something for lunch. Luckily I packed a big bag of carrots, so that was my dinner.
Tuesday -- was crossing my fingers that I could sneak away for an hour or two from work to catch the Zumba class. Packed a lunch (pele & pulu w/manioke, raw carrots). Made sure I ate in the afternoon (I try and eat my lunch around 1) so I didn't feel sick during Zumba. Made it to Zumba and let's just say I literally got my butt kicked. A week and a half with no kind of cardio, I was dying! I did get a good nights' rest. So good that I didn't even hear my phone when work called early in the morning. I have to add, I did make a Sonic stop after Zumba and picked up a large lemon-berry creme slush! So good!!! It's now a favorite along with the orange creme flavor!
Today -- due to my late hours at work, I figure I could go in later. I caught the 9:35 am Zumba class. Great workout!!! Had a banana for breakfast before my workout (so I don't pass out in class -- LOL). Stopped by McDonald's to pick up something for the kids to eat and believe it or not, just ordered a large oj with ice. I really wasn't hungry. Got home, showered & changed then packed my lunch of kale & manioke. Also a huge bowl of cherries and a banana! I'm crossing my fingers and hoping I can continue to stay on track the rest of this week!
Oh yeah...one thing I am missing big time? My ipod shuffle. I love the shuffle 'cause it's tiny and I can just clip it on my shirt. I would love a nano or even a touch, but it's too bulky for me. When I first started working out, I had the 1 gig shuffle. Then I left it on my sweatshirt and washed it -- that was the end of that one.
Then I bought a 2 gig shuffle. It's only a few months old...and guess what? I can't find it! This morning when I was at Wal-mart noticed they came out with a 4 gig shuffle...and it's even smaller! I guess it's time to get me a new one! I totally rely on my shuffle (music) to get me through my regular workouts. Without it, I seem to have no kind of motivation.
