A text I received...

A few days ago I received an interesting text from a good friend -- here's what it said:

Who do u think would b worse 2 b called stupid, idiot, dumb, etc from? A teacher, coach, advisor, etc. or from ur own parents? (B HONEST)

My reply:
Parents

Then she asked why not the others...

My reply:
The other 2 are up there as well. I think it all depends on who they admire the most...or look up 2...u know what I mean?

Then my other reply:
The worse is when parents say it 2 kids at a young age. They're in the developing age tryn 2 find their identity...

What do you think?

I think your parents. They are who you love and respect when you are young and if they say mean things like that to you I believe it really sticks. For some reason I think that if a teacher, coach, etc. tells you that you can brush it off more easily. Parents say it and you take it to heart a little more and "really" think about whether its true or not. That is why parents need to watch what they say. Actually, all adults should. In my house growing up, "stupid" was a bad word. Just not very respectful.

I agree it would be my parents, it would be hurtful to hear that from people u have lived to "impress" or "look good" for all your life!!

I would say my teacher! Because my parents have called me stupid all the time!! LMBO no really they have. When I went out and stayed out late they said that I made stupid decisions. They said to me...well yelled at me to don't be stupid! but it didn't really stick with me, cause I knew they were right. But someone who is teaching you, and you're trying your hardest and she/he tells you you're stupid. Wow that would just really hurt me! My parents are loving, and I know they say things out of anger...but if a teacher/advisor said that I'm just str8 up stupid, I would be really hurt!
