What a Saturday!

Since returning from Tonga, I haven't made it to the gym. So this morning I decided regardless of how I feel, I'm going to make it to the 9 am Zumba class. I haven't been feeling too great, but was feeling a little bit better, but not 100%. Class was good -- got a great workout and shockingly did not run out of breath since it's been a good while.

Well, I must've been way too excited to get to class 'cause guess what happened? Got to my car and it would not start. Completely dead. Yup, forgot to turn my headlights off. No kind of jumper cables and it was starting to snow. To top it off, I was wearing shorts. Not a good idea. Luckily for me, my brother Lopeti was there working out.

I asked Soni to go inside and ask him to give me a jump. Lopeti came out and the next problem was trying to figure how we were going to get his car next to mine because both sides of my car had cars parked next to it. We thought maybe we could back it up -- Lopeti and Soni tried pushing it, but I had a hard time trying to turn the steering wheel. Lopeti then suggested driving it over the lawn. And that he did.

I think there was something wrong with his cables, 'cause it took several tries before my car finally started. Thank goodness 'cause I was freezing cold!

At the beginning of the school year, I made a deal with my 2 junior high boys. If they got a 4.0, they would get cash or shoes. Soni received a 4.0 and Nohe'a a 3.9 (all A's except for one A-). They both opted for shoes. We went straight to the shoe store after we got the car working.

While Soni was looking for shoes, I was trying on boots for fun....I love the pointed, heeled, zip all the way to the bottom of your knee kind. Only problem? When you have buff calves like mine--they don't fit......

I finally chose a pair that didn't go up as high...and I was able to zip it up all the way, but I'm sure after a few minutes, my leg would probably turn purple 'cause it was cutting off my circulation. On top of that, it made my leg look even fatter 'cause it was just bulging out.

I guess I'll just have to stick to the boots that go slightly pass the ankle.
