Thursday...

It's Thursday afternoon and taking a quick break to write this blog. The travelers to Tonga made it there safely. Yes, believe it or not they did. R-E-L-I-E-F I tell ya...well, until it's time for them to come home. Haven't had a chance to call and check on them, but getting daily, sometimes hourly updates from my mom whose been calling Tonga.

Even though Soni is 14 years old, in my mind he's not. I think of him as the dependent toddler that he was 12 years ago. In fact, it was 12 years ago that we took him and Nohe'a with us to Tonga. I'm trying hard not to worry about him. But I am. I'm worried. Worried that he might get sick. Worried that his dad will not watch out for him. Worried that he's going to have difficulty communicating with his cousins. Just worried about EVERYTHING.

It has always been a goal of ours to take them back to Tonga when they are teenagers to experience life in Tonga. To see first hand the differences between living in Tonga and living in America. It will be interesting to get his thoughts about the trip. I know it will be a memorable trip for him. I can't wait for them to get back home!

This weekend I will be registering for the Zumba certification class held on March 6th. Nervous as heck, but excited as well. I want to be a good instructor -- so I'm doing my homework...how? By checking out different Zumba classes. Checking out classes referred by friends who love Zumba and who love their instructor. I think anyone can teach Zumba, but to have a good instructor is what makes people LOVE Zumba...at least in my opinion. I've taken classes from about 6 different instructors -- all very unique in their own way...and after trying out their classes, still love my first instructor's class. What is it about her class? Her energy she brings -- the other songs she mixes in with the Latin songs -- and I love it that the last 15 mins (or more) she takes requests from the class. I love that!!!

Now as for our Zumba field trip -- I want to see what it is these instructors do to make people love their class!!! I know, I think I'm taking this certifying thing a little too serious...but hey, if I'm gonna do it, I want to do it right!!!! I'll blog about my class later!!!! I'm so excited!!!!

Wow! I'm so happy for you and I love the way you're going about it. It's a good challenge i think, to know what's out there and finding out why people like what they like. Hats of to you and I wish you luck, luck and better yet, God's blessings. I can't wait to come and take a class from you.
