I was surprised with the outfit I was able to pull off. A month or two ago, I bought a dress similar to this one:

I bought it at Downeast Outfitters for $5. Yup, five bucks. The dress is a dark brownish color. On me, the bottom falls slightly below my knees.
To add to the 'fit, I wore a pair of heels that I bought last year, but have worn just once. The shoes look just like the ones pictured below, however the pair I own is cream color with the snakeskin instead of the brown. Real cute huh? Well, the outfit came together quite well -- next time, I will take a picture. Downside? Wearing these heels for 3 hours killed my feet. By the end of the night...blisters. The things we have to endure to look cute!

Saturday:
The morning began with my sisters (Silia and Kalo) checking out the 7:30 am Zumba class in Kearns. My cousin Matei has been telling us about their amazing instructor. Well, it was the perfect morning to try out their class -- the time was perfect since I had some place to be at 11 am.
The instructor is this petite, skinny Venezuelan (spelling?) woman named Alitza Petit. The warm up -- it didn't seem like a warm up...it was fast paced. It had me sweating by the end of the song. Her class...intense...she's full of energy...she has you working your entire body. And I mean your entire body -- arms, legs, quads, etc. Definitely different from Teresa and Julie. But different in a good way.
I remember attending Teresa's class for the first time. I thought, oh my goodness, how am I going to handle this? But after attending her class for a month now, I can say I can keep up. I am somewhat familiar with her style.
As for Alitza's class, I hope it's the same way. In fact as I was struggling to keep up, I thought in my head "can I really do this?" I asked myself, "can I really be an instructor that will be able to give people a workout"? I was beginning to have second thoughts. I seriously was. But like I mentioned above, I'm hoping it's because it's the first class. I hope to attend another class and see if I can pick up on her style.
Alitza is amazing! She is unique in her own way. It's no surprise why her class is held inside their gym instead of their aerobics room. It's also good to know that there is an early morning class available on a Saturday morning.
Besides the amazing instuctors that teach, I do have to say that I love it when I see other fellow polynesian women working out...doing Zumba. Today was no exception. Plenty of full-size polynesian women in the house! I love seeing them in the gym...seeing them do something about their health. Love it when they share how much they enjoy Zumba and the weight they've lost since doing Zumba. Keep it up ladies!!!!
Silia did take her camera and pictures were taken. When she uploads the pictures, I will post them.
It's getting late and with daylight savings and the time moving forward, I better log off.
I will post more about the rest of my Saturday!!! (Whitni's star raising at the Make-A-Wish building and Alex's baptism.)
