The Key to the 99 is the ONE

Leave it to good 'ol Facebook for helping me find this woman's blog. Actually my Turbo Kick instructor became a fan of "Recipes for Gals in figure and Bodybuilding" and I became a fan too. The creator of this fan page shares recipes that she uses as she "eats clean". A few days ago, I finally stopped by her blog. I spent a few minutes reading through her post and came across this post. I'm not a very good writer. I know that. I don't phrase things properly and don't use proper English. Oh well, I already know it's one of my weaknesses that I need to work on. Anyhow, this post of hers hit home. She does a great job explaining this quote. And it is how I feel sometimes when I blog and do things. Read on and see what I mean...

I love this quote. It's so true.

Oftentimes I'll post what I feel is a heartfelt update or a quote and will sometimes ask myself if anyone reads them.

Or when I feel like blogging I'll write about something I'm feeling passionately about at that moment. I'll question whether it makes a difference.

Self doubt. You never know. For all I know no one's going to read it. I have no idea when I write about something if somebody is actually going to read it. I can hope.

What if no one listens? But what if one is?

When I do feel prompted to write, it's about what I am feeling at that time. Sometimes friends will make suggestions, but if I'm not "feeling it", it doesn't really help. When I feel inspired, I know it's coming from my heart and the words practically pour out of me.

But I never know if those words will really be read...and even if they...if they'll be heard the way I meant for them to be.

As I said, I can hope.

But without fail no matter what the topic is or how trivial an update, a post, or a blog post might be, there is always at least one who is touched. One who is affected. One who is uplifted. One who needed to hear my words at that time.

Even if I only touch, reach, or help one person, that one person is enough. That one person has been strengthened. That one person now has renewed hope. That one person is now that much stronger for at least the time being.

Shouldn't we all live by that principle? This morning I suggested we all first love ourselves and then serve others.

You never know who is watching you, who is looking to you for inspiration, who is needing to see your smile or hear your voice in order to be uplifted. We are all under a microscope by those around us - family, friends, children, clients, customers, neighbors, complete strangers, fellow gym goers. People do take notice - whether we mean to set an example or not. Whether we mean to reach out or not. Whether we mean to be noticed or not.

I'm just hoping we can all keep that in mind because we all have the power and the influence to reach all 99 but sometimes more importantly, at least one.

Now that it is officially 2011, I will keep the last sentence above in mind. I will be grateful for the ONE that I am able to influence.
