My Biggest Loser Competition

Not sure if I mentioned it here or not...anyhow, last year I ran a Biggest Loser Competition. That all began with my sister suggesting I start one up. So I did. To my amazement, we had 54 people join. Of the 54 that joined, 4 of them were men, the rest - all women. It cost $30 to enter and 3 prizes: first (60% of pot), second (30%) and third (10%). Along with that, an inches contest that cost $10 to enter. In the end, we had 16 people return for the final weigh-in. They lost over 400 pounds total. They all look amazing. After the success of the last one, I decided to do another one. I actually wanted to begin it in December. That would definitely be a challenge with the holidays. I decided not to. I figure it was Christmas season and with a struggling economy, figure it would be best to wait until after the holidays.

So, here we are. Details of the contest below:

Time	Monday at 6:00pm - April 4 at 9:00pm
Location	5415 West 3100 South (WVC Recreation Center ) - upstairs
	Biggest Loser Competition - Men & Women Begins January 10, 2011 and will run until April 4, 2011. $30 entry fee Winners will be determined by total percentage lost. (1st-60% of pot, 2nd-30% of pot & 3rd 10% of pot) Step 1 Divide number of pounds lost by the starting weight. Step 2 Multiply the answer to step 1 by 100 Step 3 Example: 40 /330 x 100 = 12.12% Entry fee due at weigh in. CASH only please. ***Last competition we had 54 participants.
