February 4-6, 2010

February 4, 2010 - the morning began with my 6 am morning Zumba class at The Park Center in Murray. Silia, Kalo and Ema were able to come out and join me. The crowd is a little different from our norm, but we managed to have fun and get a good workout. I hope that was the case for the ones there.

Later in the day I received a text from Ema saying she was having a birthday party for her daughter Fifita over at Fat Cats. I didn't really have anything planned for the evening other than hit the gym. Soni went on an overnight camp with the Varsity scouts. The younger three were already at my mom's. Nohe'a was at the library. When I got off work, I went by the library and picked up Nohe'a. We then headed to Fat Cats. Everyone was there already and waiting on us. Ema had paid for pizza, breadsticks, drinks and chicken wings for all of us to eat. We began with a word of prayer, than sang "Happy Birthday" to Fifita. Afterwards, the kids went and played in the arcade area & even went bowling. Since we sat by the pool tables, we played a game of pool. We had a good time! Thank you Ema & Fifita for a fun evening!

Knowing that I would be catching a Zumba Master class later in the evening, I was in no rush to workout this morning. In fact, I slept in. It was just Nohe'a and I at home. He woke me up to take him over to the church to help out another scout with his eagle project. I spent the morning cleaning here and there until Nohe'a got home. Nohe'a was gone about an hour. When he got home, we left to check out Ailini's new Tahitian class. My sister gave me the wrong address, so we drove around for a bit. By the time we found the place, Ailini went home with my other sister. I got her registered and watched the ladies practice for a bit. My sister is taking classes and she said it's a good workout. I decided to sign up as well. What's cool about this group is that they use live singers and drummers. Hearing the drums made me want to get up and practice along with them. Hahahaha! Next week for sure.

After registering with Tagaloa, I ended up going with my sister Lani to the rec. We took the kids swimming.

Once they were done swimming, I headed home and got ready for Dale's Master Zumba class. My sister Silia came by and picked me up. We were one of the first to arrive. They were not set up yet. We hung out for a bit. Then probably around 6:30, they moved us into the other room and class began. The room was jam packed! Luckily we were in the third row. The class was lots of fun. Lots of bumping into one another, but with Zumba, you get use to it. The last song before the cool down, Dale pulled Silia and I on to the stage. We were on each side of him. All I could think of on stage is, "don't fall off" and definitely keep moving, even if you are tired and can't keep going. All eyes are on you, so don't embarass yourself. Well, we made it and we had our West Valley Zumba friends to cheer us on. Good times for sure!

It's Superbowl Sunday, but I could care less. Don't really have a favorite NFL team. This year it was the Pittsburgh Steeler vs. the Green Bay Packers. Who was I going for? The Steelers. Why? It's my brothers favorite team, so why not. Along with that, the Steelers have 2 polys on the team (maybe more, but I'm not sure) - Troy Polamalu & Chris Kemoeatu. We didn't have plans to watch the game, but we ended up doing so. Every month on the first Sunday, we are going to try and get together as a family - Misinale Family. This month it was our family's turn to plan the FHE. We didn't plan anything spectacular - just the norm. We had Soni give lesson. He chose his own topic. To be quite honest, I wasn't sure what to expect. I mean, I hope he would do a good job, but it would be the first time I would hear him present something. He did a great job. He chose 'trials' as the topic. Not a dry eye in the room. And it was definitely something we all needed to hear. My brother and his wife Sela shared a goal they have for this year. Their goal is to be positive about everything. I'm going to take the same goal and work on it as well. In life, it's so easy to focus on the negative things, not just in our lives but in others too. If we look for the negative, we will find it. But along the same lines, if we look for the good, we will find that too. Happy Monday y'all!
