A little behind blogging, but what's new. Hahahaha!

My day began with me waking up with a kink in my neck. Not good. I had every intention of waking up early, get ready for work, drop the kids off and head in. Did that happen? Not quite. I woke up early, but just kept sleeping...and maybe that is why I ended up with the kink in my neck. I didn't have to drive the junior high kids this week. Thank goodness. I did have to drive my younger three. We headed out the door about a minute or two later than usual. When we got into the car I checked to see if Haloti had filled up the car. He didn't. It was on 'E' or close to 'E'. Didn't phase me. I thought, no problem, I should be able to make it to the school, back and to the gas station. Well, to no surprise, I didn't make it to the school. In fact, the car ran out of gas almost a block away. The kids immediately jumped out and started running. (I found out later they made it in time.) Luckily I had my cell phone with me. I tried calling Haloti - no answer. Not surprising. I then debated whether to call my mom & dad or my brother Brian. I figure it would be best to call my brother since he lived closer. I called and he answered, not really listening to what he was saying, I asked if he had a gas can and if he could help me since I was stranded and ran out of gas. Somewhere in our conversation, I think he said, "yes, I can, but I need to get my boys ready". That was the part I didn't hear. I found out later that his wife was at work. I feel so bad because more than anything, I'm sure it was no easy task for him to get his two boys together and come over to help a stranded sister. He came over with some gas to put in my car. He asked if he should follow me home to make sure I make it home. I reassured him I would be fine, but would call if I ran into problems. I made it home safely, got dressed, stopped by the gas station before heading into work.

After work, my little sister Silia stopped by with Ruby. She brought over some homemade sugar cookies and a gift for Soni (Bob Marley tee).

I am truly grateful to be blessed with wonderful siblings who are kind, caring, thoughtful and willing to lend a helping hand. Love you much!!!!
