Monday - my day off!

The weekend was quite eventful. Tiring, but worth it.

Saturday. Since I'm trying my best to make improvements with work, I woke up at 3 am to get ready for work. I arrived shortly after my 4 am required start time. Much better than my 5:30 am sometimes 6 am start time. I ran everything rather than let our San Antonio office run it. Not sure if they were too happy about it, but I didn't need them making any more complaints that I am not doing my job. That's one thing that gets me about some people -- so nice to you and then behind your back they rip you apart to others. Anyhow, work went smoothly.

I got off in time to catch parts of the twins football game at Kearns. My mom was there with my kids. I was surprised to see Brydan sitting out. According to him, he still wasn't feeling good. Like they say, you pick your battles. This was one I was letting go. Football finished around 2 or so. I rushed home, showered and changed.

Saturday was the day I was participating in a 2 hour Zumbathon where proceeds will benefit the Susan G. Komen foundation. Jessica, the person in charge had us wearing the same tank. I wore something underneath because I am not comfortable with the way my arms look. Once I get them to look how I want, then maybe you'll catch me in a tank. Silly I know, but I'm still self conscience. I picked up my mom, daughter and niece and off we went. The event turned out nicely. An hour into it, I started to feel the backlash of barely getting any sleep and waking up so early. I managed to finish.

By the end of the night, I was beat. I came home and took a nice long hot bath. That seemed to help relax the muscles. I called it an early night and slept good.

Sunday. The usual. Church. After church we (meaning all of my siblings, their spouses & kids) gathered at my mom & dad's. It had been a very long time since we got together. It was nice. We also had my friend Lisa there with her kids. It was a relaxing Sabbath.

Well, today my day off, it began with the usual EMZ class. Mondays are always hard to get into, we managed and completed our workout. I had planned to hit up a weight training class at Gold's. That idea went out the window when I took a close look at my house. I spent the whole morning cleaning. Felt good to make progress.

Today I am getting back on track with my eating. It began with some Greek yogurt. Lunch consisted of egg white omelet w/spinach, mushrooms & cheese. I'm going to try my best to avoid carbs & sugars. It should be interesting, so we'll see how things go. Along with the eating, it's back to weight training. This is a challenge for myself -- a challenge to see if I can really transform my body. I'll keep y'all posted...hopefully I'll have good results to post.

Have a fabulous Monday!
