That's exactly what I said when I got on the scale late last night. More about that in a minute.
As for my last post and trying to get organized and things under control...well, as each day progressed, it seemed to get worse. By that I mean, little things threw me off causing me to run behind schedule and each day it got later and later. For example, Tuesday I got in to work around 9. Wednesday I got in around 9:15. Thursday 9:30 and then Friday at 10. Definitely something I will need to improve on this coming week.
Now back to the scale...so much for losing weight. I know, I sound like I'm obsessed with my weight. In a way, I think I have to be. For the past while -- months & months -- I just let things go. Well, I'm noticing it in different areas of my body. Like I've mentioned in other posts, it's not about me trying to get down to under size 10 - realistically for my body, it just wouldn't look right. I do know that much.
Along with the weight gain on the scale, the clothing getting snug, I watched a few videos that I was in doing Zumba. I see a big difference in the way I looked when I was at my lightest and then as I packed on the pounds. If my calculations are right, it's about a 30 lb, give or take few weight gain. That is almost 40 lbs. I know what 40 lbs. weigh and feels like. Remember in a post from awhile back about the 40 lb. water softener salt bag I would have to lug in the house. Yeah, that puts into perspective how that much weight must feel on my poor legs. Add to that working out with that much weight -- not good. And maybe that is why my poor feet are bugging me. Imagine if I didn't work out -- hoi, I think I would've gained all of the weight I lost back.
Well, I checked out Mr. Fit2Fat2Fit's website (see post below) and he has posted his workout and food he'll be eating as he makes the journey back to being fit. I know there are a lot of doubters out there that think he can not do it in 6 months. I think he can. With a lot of discipline, I know he'll be back to looking the way he did 6 months ago. I watched my cousin Phil make the same transformation as he prepped for his figure/maybe body building competition. You really can. No doubt about it. I noticed the food he posted is similar to what my cousin was doing. Now to convince myself that I can do this.
Guess I have to go back to the basics of what I know -- portion control, serious exercise, weight training, incorporating more fruits & veggies, avoid processed foods as much as possible & not eat so late. All very simple - I just need to apply it. Oh well, I need to get on the scale to keep me on track. I'm serious this time. Monday it all begins.
