Pulling it together...

Monday (yesterday) I had every intention of hitting the weight room. Did it happen? It DID NOT. Am I sad? Somewhat. But not really. It came down to, prioritizing better. Being that I haven't been getting the much needed sleep, I chose to get some rest. Basically my morning went something like this: 4:15 am: first alarm goes off. Snooze. 4:30 am: second alarm. Snooze 4:45 am: third alarm. Finally dragged my butt out of bed. Get ready for Zumba. 5:10 am: fourth alarm. That means I better be heading out the door so that I can arrive & begin class in Glendale. 5:35 am: Zumba begins. 6:45 am: head home. 7:05 am: arrive at home. Wake up the elementary kids to get ready. 7:30 am: take Jr. High kid to school. 8:00 am: take elementary kids to school. Take high school kid to school. Due to house being somewhat clean and feeling somewhat tired, I decided I would go back to sleep. I thought, well, if I take a nap now, I can go after around noon. I took the much needed nap, woke up around noonish and decided to not go to the gym at all. At the moment, other things around the house needed my attention. Around 2 pm, headed over to the high school to pick up my high school kid. Came home and then around 3 pm, headed over to pick up the elementary and Jr. High kids. Around 5 or so, they started getting ready. Every year, I pretty much go with the kids and take them around the neighborhood. This year, I planned to let Haloti do that while I hand out candy and organize my coupons. My mom came over with my sister Lani's kids. Around 5:45 pm, they all head out. My mom jokingly said, whoever stays should cook some food. Even thought she was "joking", I know she really wasn't. I ran to the store to pick up a few things. I came home and cooked some corn chowder, sloppy joes and baked a chocolate chip zuchinni bread. So much for organizing the coupons. It was a long night. My other sisters came over as well. We had a full house. By 9 pm, everyone went home. I called it an early night and fell asleep around 11 pm. This morning... Same scenario as above: all 3 alarms went off. Finally got out of bed at 4:45 am. Was running late getting ready and didn't head out the door until 5:25 am. Luckily I was teaching in Kearns, so it was just a minute or two away. The numbers are dying out in Kearns. Kind of expected with the cold weather. After class, rushed home to take my high school kid - 7 am. Came home, hurried and showered and took my Jr. High kid at 7:30 am. Finished getting ready. A little after 8 am, took the elementary kids. It was raining, so traffic was bad. I made a quick stop at the rec. center to pick up a wristband for Zumba tonight. It's been awhile since I've been to the rec, so I'm pretty excited. I made it in to work at 9 am. It was a shock...to me and to my boss. My new schedule is requiring me to start at 8:30 am. It's definitely going to be something for me to work on and manage my time effectively in the mornings. All of this is going to require some overnight prepping for me such as: packing my lunch the night before, getting my playlist together for my Wednesday afternoon class, packing my workout clothes for my Wednesday afternoon class and setting out/ironing my clothes for work the night before. Something different I've tried to do today: a to do list. Maybe with better organization I can get things done and completed. I have a few projects around the house and hopefully each week, I can accomplish. Hopefully I can keep up?
