Double Trouble

On December 3rd, my babies - Brydan & Gideon turned 10. I can't believe it. Time sure does fly. These two, physically look alike, but personality wise, so different. Very different.

I miss the curls they use to have.

This one was taken two years ago when they turned 8. Born premature -- look how they've grown.

Speaking of these two, I must say that for the past couple of years, I've had no problems setting up for Christmas. They get so excited, they pretty much lug all of the decorations from our basement and set it up themselves.

Shortly after Thanksgiving, they began setting up the trees. I'm not sure if it's the tree itself, but my tallest tree in the family room is lopsided. Had this have been 5-10 years ago, I would be making a big deal. I'm just grateful they are willing to go through the hassle.

A few days ago, I came home to this:

I had lights strung throughout the entire house taped up with blue painter's tape. It looks so pretty when all the house lights are turned off and the Christmas lights are on. However, during the day, it looks tacky. On our half walls through out the house, they placed our plain, green garland carefully along the edge (see picture above). Instead of hanging the stockings over the fireplace, it is strung onto the railing along with my pre-lit garland. I'll have to take a picture of it.

As much as I want to take down their decorations or re-do it, I'm just going to leave it how it is. They are so proud of their work and as a mom, I can't help but smile.

That is so cute! Love that they get into the holiday spirit, and their 'creative' ways of decorating! So cute!
