With her practice at that time, grandma at her water aerobics, it meant no going to the Bountiful Zumba class. That meant staying put at our rec. center and having my two older boys go outside and walk her into the rec. Nowadays you just never know, so I wasn't taking my chances.
The past few Thursdays, I've been attending Zumba up in Bountiful where Teresa teaches. There is a Zumba class at our rec., but once you start taking Zumba classes, you'll find you like certain instructors more than other instructors. Since attending Teresa's class, I like her class better. But due to the softball practice, had to stay put at our rec. center. The regular instructor is out due to her being pregnant. Deena who subbed the year before was teaching for her tonight. I didn't mind staying. Deena is an awesome instructor. She'll give you a good workout!
First mistake I made last night -- forgot my water bottle. Luckily for me, there are vending machines there at the rec. where I can buy a sports drink or water. I opted for the sports drink. Was not a good idea! I usually drink about one 16.9 oz bottle of water during a Zumba session. I started drinking my Gatorade and kinda felt sick to my stomach. It was too sweet and it felt like I just ate a huge meal when I drank it. I know, weird, but I guess that's the last time. I still tried my best, but never again...definitely gonna stick to my water.

Second mistake -- the way I tied my shoes. I like to tie my shoes tight. Guaranteed with all the movement during Zumba, I have to re-tie them halfway during class. Well, I did that last night, but I think I tied them too tight. How did I know? After I tied them, it felt good. Got through one song. Then on the next song, my feet felt like they were tingling. I kept moving, but then they felt like they were going numb. I quickly moved to the side and unlaced them. I think I tied them too tight that my circulation was being cut off. Thank goodness I stopped and unlaced them so the blood could start circulating. I can't imagine what would've happened if I kept going and ignored the tingling sensation in my feet.

Yeah, what a night!!! Now I know -- stick to the water and don't tie my laces too tight!

awww well if it makes you feel better. My daughter walks home from the bus stop, she stays at home alone sometimes, and I figured that in the past 20 years child abductions haven't changed. It's the same, but it is more televised now. So there's some relief for ya. Ariana is also 9 turning 10 in July. Anywho we miss you tons, you should bring your daughter, I brang mine once..she enjoyed it. I'm glad you got your shoelaces untied! Safety 1st! :)
I know what you mean. I forgot my water bottle one time and kept going until I felt dizzy and shaking..umm never going to do that one again..lol. I'm glad you went the safe route. Always better to be safe than sorry.
