In earlier/older posts, you probably know that I lost 80 lbs. At my heaviest, I weighed 267 lbs. The 80 lb weight loss took me down to 187 lbs. I was able to maintain most of the 80 lb weight loss, gaining and losing some here and there.
Well, yesterday morning, I got on the scale (nothing new, I do this at least once a week) and it hit me when I saw that it read 209 lbs. What the ? I mean, like I said, I get on the scale on a regular basis, so I shouldn't be surprised. I think for the longest time, I justified each pound with "well, I lift weights, it's probably from muscle mass". Yeah right. With the scale reality check, finally accepted that I have put on some weight. That would explain why some of my skirts/pants are getting a little snug.
With the new year just a few days away, it's time for me to get serious again and get back on track. One thing that I didn't slack on is my workouts. Obviously with the eating part, I've been eating a little too much. Imagine if I didn't work out. Yeah, probably would've gained the 80 lbs back already.
By getting on track, that means me eating breakfast again, packing a lunch and healthy snacks. It means moderation. It also means, no more late night meals, no more eating out as much. And it also means no more soda. Simple basic things. I'm not one that is a fan or drastic diets and all that crazy stuff. They work and no doubt about it, but as soon as you get off of it, if you are not careful, you gain it back faster than you were able to lose.
So like everyone else, it is on my list of resolutions for the new year. Now that I posted it, I have to follow through now. First goal, lose the 22 lbs that I have now said hello to. Oh the joys of not inheriting skinny genes.
