So far I have completed 3 full days of trying to 'eat clean'. So far I've been doing good. It's funny how this time around I've stuck without eating 'sugars'. I remember when my sister Silia gave up sugar - I tried it for one day and couldn't even last. Natural sugars (such as honey & fruits) are fine to eat. In fact, that's what has saved me the past few days. I would crave something sweet and in replacement of candy or something like that, I would eat an apple.
I weighed myself earlier this week and weighed in at 213. The lowest I've been since losing weight is 187. I was so excited when I weighed in under 200 and maintained it for a bit. But as you can see, I've since put on some weight. Anyhow, this morning around 4 am as I prepped to go and teach my Zumba class, I jumped on the scale. To my surprise, it read 208. Of course weighing yourself in the morning is the best because that's when you are at your lightest. I'm hoping to be under 200 by the end of this month.
Challenging myself with this has made me get back with the program by watching my portion sizes, making better food choices and pushing myself harder with exercising.
My next post I'll be sharing a story about a personal trainer obsessed with being fit. According to some of his clients, he was told he didn't know what it's like to be 'fat & overweight'. He then decided to change that for the next 6 months so that he can somewhat relate and get a feel for what they experience. The picture alone - wow is all I can say. Stay tuned.
